Frogar.io has been in development for roughly a year now. Although we've dabbled in game development in the past, this was our first real stint at it and as a result, we stumbled into a number of challenges. Our main challenges were trying to ensure smooth and efficient game-play within the web-build, and also trying to accommodate our target of 300 players per server.
Although we are happy with the quality of the networking and it's performance, we realized a week or so ago that the technology surrounding the web-build (particularly the limitation of using websockets for the networking) just wouldn't cut it, and we had to shut down the web-build and cease development on it. This hit our morale a little, due to the fact that we put so much work into trying to get the web-build running smoothly, but one of our mottos at Jadoku is make as many mistakes as you need to!
So, picking ourselves up, we are proud to announce the launch of this game, currently available on android via the Google Play store.
